I'm Ok

"How are you?"
"I'm ok."

Its a response we all say without even thinking. Its the answer to all those questions of well being that are asked without really caring for the answer.

Sometimes though we really are ok. Not amazing, not terrific, not fantastic, not terrible, not horrid, not perfect. Just ok. And that's ok. Today I am ok. Its not the best day I've ever had but its surly not the worst.
I don't feel fantastic today, but I've felt worse. I'm not beautiful today but I'm not really ugly either. I'm in the middle of it all and that's alright. Sometimes its good to be in the middle. It helps you see the others sides more clearly and helps you decide where you need to be.

I'm thankful for my "ok" days. They are turning points and places of learning for me. They help me to see that not every day will be amazing. Not everything is going to work out as I planned. Everyone is not always going to be happy with me and I will NEVER be able to please everyone. But that's Ok.

How to Text A Girl- A How-To for Guys

Most guys do not know how to text a girl. Seriously.  I mean come on, am I wrong ladies?? They send one word answers, they leave ya hanging for hours before sending a response and then fall asleep without sending a "good morning" text the next day! So. Rude. Imma help you fools out though, don't worry. :)

Here are 6 good tips to keep in mind when textin' a female-

1) ASK QUESTIONS. Nothing more frustrating then answering a question and then leaving us hanging! Be inquisitive ( but not creepily so) , ask her likes and dislikes, ask her opinion on the weather, does she like batman, I don't freaking care. But don't make her pump to keep the conversation going. Give a little effort!

2) DON'T TAKE FOREVER TO RESPOND. Seriously. Nothing is more agonizing then that wait to hear your response! If you can't text right now, let her know. Don't just wait a few hours and then finally respond when you have time to chat. We'll understand if you're busy but we have no idea what your 5 hour long silence means.

3) TEXT HER FIRST. It'll make her day I promise. And it makes you look like a STUD.

4) SEND HER A GOOD MORNING TEXT. It can really turn a bad morning around! Its the best thing in the world to wake up too. For reals. This is especially a smart thing to do if you accidentally fell asleep mid conversation last night.

5) BE FUNNY. Or at least fake it. Cheesy crap can be cute too just not overly cheesy. Don't try and be a comedian, just make her laugh! Funny guys are cute, so practice in the mirror if you got too.

6) IF YOU MISS HER, TELL HER. She's not gonna freak out and never talk to you again. Well, most women won't. 98% of girls LOVE to be told that their missed and appreciated. So just say it!

Really though, in conclusion if she likes you, everything you do will be cute. (Except not texting back. That is NEVER CUTE.) So just do your best and treat her right. Don't move too fast, don't treat her like every other girl, make her feel special and be honest. Everybody deserves the truth.

Now get a girls number and text her. Stop sitting on your touchie!

"Wow, you must be tired!!"

So ya, I nanny 4 boys under the age of 3. No one is potty trained yet so there are 4 little bums that need changing. 4 little mouths that need feeding. 4 little boys that need attention. 4 little boys that want to be held. And only one Cheressa. When I tell people of my job I always get something like, "Better you than me!" or "Wow, you must be so tired!"

Yesterday I watched all 4 lil cuties by myself for the first time. And let me tell ya, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be! Yes, they all cry, poop, and need food at the same time. In those 4 hours I never got a chance to pee or eat for myself, but dang I had fun. Maybe its because I have lots of child watching experience or maybe because I adore theses specific kiddos or maybe I am just insane. But its was not as hard as I first expected! Now I'm not gonna say I wish I had 4 kids of my own all at such young ages because gee that was the best day ever! But I definitely love my job and the opportunity I have to spend time with them.

Getting it all figured out

Ahh life. There's always a new curve ball waiting to be thrown! This week I feel as though I've been pummeled to death by the many different challenges I have been thrown. It wasn't the best week of my life to be sure, but it has had its bright moments. Lets focus on those shining moments that brought a smile to my face -
-Isaac running to me giggling for a hug after the weekend(and wiping his banana smeared face on my      shoulder. PRECIOUS.)
-Catching up with old friends
-Random heartfelt texts that reminded me what amazing friends I have( You know who you are)
-An inspiring institute class that was everything I needed to hear ( Go Gambrell!)
-The elderly man at Wal*Mart that called me beautiful ♥
-Starbucks Hot Chocolate every single morning before work (delicious comfort food)
-Holding my beautiful twin babies and seeing their tiny smiles (Its not gas, gosh darn it!)
-Getting letters from my amazing Visiting teacher (I'm praying for you too,my friend.)

And looking back at all the amazing little moments this week has given me, really makes me realize how blessed I am. No my life isn't easy and no I don't have another "Cheressa" to help me pick up the slack sometimes (Oh how I wish I had a clone....) But my life is pretty darn amazing! And I wouldn't change a thing.

Now enjoy some cute babies :)
Much Love,
Cheressa
